Research and Development - Personnel by field of science

R&D personnel can be classified based on the field of science they conduct research in, using the OECD's Fields of Research and Development(FORD) classification :

natural sciences
engineering and technology
medical and health sciences
agricultural sciences
social sciences
humanities

With the application below, statistics on R&D personnel can be created using the following criteria. We distinguish between researchers on the one hand and total personnel (= researchers + supporting R&D personnel) on the other:

In head counts (HC)

total R&D personnel by field of science in HC
total female R&D personnel by field of science in HC
researchers by field of science in HC
female researchers by field of science in HC

In full-time equivalents (FTE)

total R&D personnel by field of science in FTE
total female R&D personnel by field of science in FTE
researchers by field of science in FTE
female researchers by field of science in FTE
